Instantly change your taste buds – amazing!!!
Back in 2005 when I had my first “Miracle Fruit” experience I thought it was a practical joke and the red berry handed to me was a chilli or something more sinister. A furry coat to my tongue ensued after chewing the berry, it tasted as most berries do, tarty and sweet. Then I was offered a lemon, so raw it was green, I sliced it open and tentatively bit what I knew would normally make me wince. To my surprise, it tasted as if it was completely doused in sugar syrup. I proceeded to eat the whole lemon with delight! Beer tastes odd with this, not recommended, nor tomatoe sauce. It turns bitter to sweet. I would never believe this unless I’d already tried it myself. I have no idea how it works but it’ll blow your mind! I’m not affiliated with this website at all but have bought several packs to give away at Christmas as well as one for myself. Can’t wait to see the look on my relatives faces! I’m sure you can just google search “Miracle Fruit” to find a supplier near your corner of the world!
9yo Alice was throwing stones in 1874
I find this absolutely fascinating. The below snapshot was taken from The Sydney Morning Herald, on March 25th 1874. It is from the Police Court Report. Note how Alice, 9, was taken to court by her aunty (probably by the ear!) and fined for throwing stones! Goodness gracious if only the police still let us punish our kids this way we’d probably grow up in a much safer society!
Seeing into the future with Li
Li Edelkoort is a short solidly built older woman who can see into the future with her mind. Yes, her mind. She works in fashion and design as one of the worlds foremost trend forecasters, in fact, she basically invented the profession.
In 2003 she was in Time’s 25 most influential people in fashion. She decides what people will want to eat, wear, drive and drink. She suggests that various industries have changes taking place up years ahead, such as the car industry, which takes 7 years, whereas fashion and makeup take 2 years. She was responsible for the Nissan Micra 1993 which got voted the European Car of the Year. Her ‘trend books’ sell for 1700 GBP a year alone, to the likes of Mercedes-Benz as her clients.
On Colours: Blues, turquoise, grey metallics and minerals including browns and terracottas. Yellow is the new pink and will be iconic in the next decade. Grey however is much more powerful to Edelkoort, who suggests that it reprsents the great blender of society.
Food: Everything in food will be mixed, moussed, frothed and all about dimensions, added dimensions.
Edelkoort predicted leggins as a fashion item, but not that it would be a billion dollar industry. She also claims that she felt the lead up to 9/11, felt unhappy and at unease.
In furniture: Organics, pebbles, rock, boulders, grey and bark, animal representations, skin, hides, timber.
In fashion: Layers and more layers. Espadrilles will develop, the sleeveless jacket, anda new category, a half garmet between a scarf and a wastcoat.
In the far future near nudity has become the norm, it will be more about diguised eroticism then pornography. Girls are already wearing leggins under a summer dress, they will be using half gloves, veils and masks.
